Continuing professional development is an important part of what we do at East Devon Tree Care, helping us stay up to date with the latest techniques and best practices in arboriculture.

Recently in September 2026, Matthew led a cable bracing workshop at TMA Learning Hub, with Ben Rose from Arbskills.

The workshop focused on the practical techniques and principles of tree cable bracing, a specialist method used to provide additional structural support to trees with weaknesses or defects. Cable bracing can help retain valuable trees that might otherwise require significant pruning or removal.

The workshop was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge with industry professionals and further strengthen the expertise we bring to our tree care work.

There are future workshops planned so keep an eye on the TMA website for when future workshops will be arranged if you would like to book on.
